Most of the time I go to the movies to be uplifted or entertained! I
enjoy
suspending reality at the box office and entering the wonderful world
of onscreen fantasy!
Last night was very different! I wish we had seen
a scary fantasy story. I wish my reality had been suspended. Sadly,
the movie we saw was scary reality.
For several years I have sensed that President Obama had a dislike, bordering on disdain, for many aspects of American culture and history. When he was in the debates with John McCain I remember marveling out loud that, "This man is a socialist." When I heard him say he didn't agree with the views of a preacher that he sat under for 20 years it didn't make sense. And when he became our Commander and Chief I was offended by the lazy and careless salutes that he gave the men and women who live their lives to protect his safety.
His love for taxes, dislike for private enterprise, passion for government social programs, and discomfort with America's role in the world has been evident. But I have never known why! Sadly, President Obama was elected on the promise of Hope and Change without a deep understanding of his History and Philosophy.
2016 gives a frighteningly insightful glimpse of the man who has promised to change America! It is worth the time and money you will spend to see it! You might agree, you might disagree, but the consequences are important enough that it is worth the watch!
